Volunteers from Cranleigh Hospital League of Friends are gearing up to show their support at Cranleigh Carnival on Saturday 28 June.
The Friends are running a stall conveniently located next to Cranleigh Medical Practice’s marquee. Steve Shutts, coordinator of the Friends’ stand, explains: “By being close to our colleagues at the medical centre, we’ve created a health hub so visitors can stop off and find out about all the local services which are available in Cranleigh to enhance their wellbeing.
“We’ve also got some special ‘I love Cranleigh Hospital’ stickers to give away to younger visitors so do be sure to drop by with the little ones!”
It is expected that there will be a high turnout for the carnival so the Friends will be taking the opportunity to raise awareness about the health services that can be accessed at Cranleigh Village Hospital. They also hope to have an update on the new DEXA bone scanner which has been earmarked for the hospital.
