Cranleigh Hospital League of Friends has helped fund essential life-saving equipment in Cranleigh.

The Friends have contributed towards the purchase and installation of nine community defibrillators including one at Cranleigh Arts Centre and one at the cricket ground.

Dr Mike Bundy, Chair of the Cranleigh Hospital League of Friends says: “We are proud to support this vital project. Publicly accessible defibrillators help ensure more people have access to emergency equipment at a time when every second counts.

“When somebody is in cardiac arrest, defibrillators give a high energy shock to their heart. The devices are easy to use and no specialist training is required. I urge everybody who visits Cranleigh to familiarise themselves with the location of the defibrillators as the knowledge could help save somebody’s life.”

Cranleigh Parish Council publishes a map showing the location of defibrillators in the village.
